You're about to get dugg to heck.<BR/><BR/>Before that happens I wanted to tell you that I too was a PC guy, always derided Mac's for the hardware lock in, and the old OS9.. About a year ago, I got a Mac, and I'll never look back. It's phenomenal.<BR/><BR/>About IM. I too used trillian, however the application you want on OS X is Adium (http://www.adiumx.com/) It does a fantastic job, it's OSS, and it's an active project. Plus you can pick up Growl (www.growl.info/) and have Adium use growl to show incoming IM's if it's in the background. Also, Quicksilver (http://www.blacktree.com/) is a tremendous application. An App launcher on the surface, but the addons make it so much more. Google can give you a lot of ideas on that.<BR/><BR/>Anyway, I'm just now reading through your experiences, so maybe you've discovered some of these things. But that is a very short list of programs I can't live without. I too used to use Trillian on Windows many years ago, but I must say, Adium is now my favorite IM application.
